Canon Joseph Cooney P.E.

The death has been announced of V. Rev. Canon Joseph Cooney, P.E. Ballyhaunis. Peacefully, in the care of Ave Maria Nursing Home, Tooreen, Co. Mayo.

Sadly missed his grace Archbishop Michael Neary, the priests of the Tuam Archdiocese, his beloved sister Nora, nephews Jarlath, Michael, Adrian, Fergal, their wives Mary, Maria and Wendy, brother-in-law Frank, grand nephews and grand nieces. 

Funeral Arrangements

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Ballyhaunis on Monday, 23 March 2020 at 12.00 noon.

Due to the current public health emergency the congregation is limited to Fr. Joe’s immediate family only.
