From the Recess side it takes about 45 minutes to climb at a very easy-going pace. It is not nearly as difficult as Croagh Patrick and is a suitable walk for all the family!

Directions: the main entrance to the mountain is between Maam Cross and Recess. Coming from Galway turn off to the right and go down that road about 5 km. There is a car park there and the climb takes about 30 minutes to 45, depending on levels of fitness.
