Celebrating Marriage Anniversaries!

The Diocesan Pastoral Council is delighted to announce that our Archdiocese is once again arranging a special celebration of significant ‘Marriage Anniversaries’.

This is our 3rd year to celebrate Marriage Anniversaries and the last two gatherings have been memorable and enjoyable for all who attended.

This years’ celebration will take place on Sunday October 19th @ 3pm in the Cathedral in Tuam. The chief celebrant will be Archbishop Michael Neary.

At this ceremony there will be renewal of marriage vows, and each couple will receive a candle and Prayer Card in remembrance of the occasion. After Mass, refreshments will be served for all attending, in St Jarlath’s College.

Couples celebrating any of the following anniversaries this year, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th, 50th, 55th, 60th, are especially invited to attend. They are welcome to invite their families and friends to join them for this special occasion. Needless to say, any couple celebrating any anniversary is most welcome and encouraged to come along.

Again this year we are hoping that each parish will encourage as many couples as possible, to attend what is, a celebration of Marriage and Family Life. I will be attending the opening night of the Priests In-Service if you have any queries.

To help us plan this event we will need to know how many will be attending from each parish, so we would appreciate if you would let us know by: Thursday October 16h, by contacting:
