Tuam Diocese Celebrates Significant Marriage Anniversaries

Tuam Diocesan Pastoral Council hosted its annual celebration of significant marriage anniversaries on Sunday October 16th.

Over ninety couples from parishes across the diocese attended the celebration which has become an annual event in the diocesan calendar.

The celebration took place in the Cathedral of the Assumption Tuam.

Archbishop Michael Neary was the main celebrant at the mass.

The homilist was Fr. Martin O Connor parish priest of Ballindine/Irishtown.

Fr. Martin was the first Director of Family Life Services based at the Family Centre, Chapel Street, Castlebar.

Refreshments served in St. Jarlaths College dining room followed the liturgy.

Invitations to the celebration were issued through the weekly newsletters in the Parishes of the Archdiocese.

The members of the Diocesan Pastoral Council offer their warm congratulations to all couples who are marking significant marriage anniversaries this year.
