Tús:

“Tionóladh an t-ochtú cruinniú de chuid Coiste Sapienti i gCnoc Mhuire, Co. Mhaigh Eo, idir 30 Eanáir agus 4 Feabhra 2013 d’fhonn athbhreithniú a dhéanamh ar an aistriúchán Gaeilge atá molta do Missale Romanum.

I láthair ag an gcruinniú bhí Micheál Ó Nearaigh, Ard-Easpag Thuama agus Cathaoirleach ar an gCoiste, Pilib Ó Buaidhe, Easpag Rath Bhoth, Breandán Ó Ceallaigh, Easpag Achadh Chonaire, an Dr. Caitríona Ó Dochartaigh, an tAth. Mícheál Ó Loingsigh, An Moinsíneoir James O’Brien, An tUas. Brian Ó Donnchadha, agus an tAth. Joseph Briody, Rúnaí.

Rinne an Coiste tráchtaireacht ar an ábhar a bhí fós fágtha sa Missale Romanum, .i. Aguisín 2-5; Aifrinn Mhóideacha; Aifrinn Dheasghnáthacha – Beannú Aba nó Ban-Aba; Coisreacan Maighdean, Profisiún Rialta srl., Tiomnú Eaglaise agus Altóra; agus Aifrinn agus Urnaithe le hAghaidh Riachtanas Éagsúil nó do Chásanna Ilghnéitheacha.  Faoi mar is gnách, moladh an t-ardchaighdeán a bhí ar an Dréacht-Aistriúchán Gaeilge i gcoitinne.

Agus an scrúdú déanta ar na téacsana seo, tá an chéim seo den athbhreithniú ar an Dréacht-Aistriúchán Gaeilge den Leabhar Aifrinn Rómhanach geall le bheith déanta.

Tionólfar an chéad chruinniú eile den Choiste sa Róimh i mí Bealtaine 2013.”

Críoch.
