As a very proud member of Mountbellew gospel/folk choir , i would like to say what an honour it was to sing with Fr.Liam Lawton in Ballinlough. We were thrilled to be asked and all credit must go to Lorraine Donnellan -Kelly , our director who worked so hard to bring it all together on the night. We are very thankful to Fr. Feeney for all the courtesy shown to us , in such a beautiful church. Thank you to Fr. Farragher for these beautiful photo`s. Thank you to Fr. John O `Gorman PP Menlough , Parish of Killascobe ,( my own parish ) who informed me of this website. Finally all thanks to Fr.Liam Lawton , truly an inspiration to all . His music and words have such wonderful meaning in these uncertain times . Sincerely Geraldine Hardiman .

  2. As another proud member of Mountbellew Folk Group I would like to echo Geraldine’s words, we are so honoured and proud Fr. Liam Lawton asked us to sing with him on the opening night of his Christmas Concert 2012 in Ballinlough Church. We rehearsed very hard with our fantastic musical director Lorraine and it was so worth it. Everything went very well on the night,we were delighted with our performance as was Fr Liam and his musical director, they were so nice and courteous towards us,we hope Fr Liam will take up on Lorraine’s invite to do another concert with us in Mountbellew. A big thank you to Peter and Colette Fallon for organizing and taking photographs, we are all very grateful, also a big thank you to all(our fans) who travelled to support us on what was a very cold and foggy night, thank you to Bernie for looking after us on our return to Mountbellew,we kept her up late, I’ll say no more on that!!! It is a night we will never forget and I am so glad we did it. Ursula Duggan McHugh.
