Apostolic Visitation

Archbishop Neary sincerely welcomes Archbishop Terrence Prendergast of Ottawa and Prof James Conn, SJ to the Archdiocese from Monday, December 13th to Saturday, December 18th.

They will meet the Diocesan Pastoral Council on Monday evening.
During the week they have a series of meetings with many different groups, victims of abuse, clergy, religious, laity – anyone that has requested to meet him. The arrangements for meetings have been made through the office of the Apostolic Nunciature.

Prayer Service for Healing, Forgiveness, Renewal

As part of the Apostolic Visitation to the diocese Archbishop Neary warmly invites you to attend a prayer service for healing, forgiveness, reconciliation and renewal in the Church. The service will consist of a Liturgy of the Word, a Penitential Rite along with Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction. The time of prayer will be held in Tuam Cathedral at 7.30 pm on Tuesday, December 14th. Archbishop Terrence Prendergast of Ottawa will preside and preach the homily.

You are also welcome to join them on a pilgrim walk to climb Croagh Patrick (weather and climbing conditions permitting!) on Saturday, December 18th at 9.00 am. Please keep an eye on the website for news of the event going ahead or not.
